Our vision is to make an everyday difference in the lives of all people with diabetes. Our focus is to encourage and educate people with diabetes about the importance of self-management.


 jdrf pngJDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents, and adults with this disease, JDRF is now the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners who share this goal.


 AADE logoThe American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) is a multi-disciplinary professional membership organization dedicated to promoting the expertise of the diabetes educator, ensuring the delivery of quality diabetes self-management training to the patient and contributing to the future direction of the profession. With over 14,000 professional members including nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, exercise physiologists, physicians, and others, AADE has a vast network of practitioners involved in the daily treatment of people with diabetes. AADE provides diabetes educators with the resources to stay abreast of current research, methods and trends in the field and creates opportunities for networking and collaboration. The association is also active in national and state advocacy initiatives and is an involved participant in the larger healthcare community. AADE brings together professionals from all areas of diabetes care for continuing education and networking opportunities, reimbursement guidance and diabetes educator certification and re-certification information.

Instead of looking at the disease, Diabetes Hands Foundation seeks to understand, connect and energize the millions of people living with this condition through our programs.


dsmaThe Diabetes Community Advocacy Foundation (DCAF) is a nonprofit corporation with the mission to connect, support, empower and educate people affected by diabetes. DCAF organizes and runs programs for people living with diabetes including #DSMA Twitter chat, the Blue Fridays initiative,  #WDDchat12DSMA Live,  DSMA en Vivo and DSMA ‘Rents radio programs and more. These are created with the help of volunteers offering their expertise to provide services.


 The UNC Diabetes Care Center provides a wide range of services to patients with diabetes, including consultative and comprehensive diabetes care, educational services and referrals to other specialists.  Our staff specialize in the evaluation and therapy of all aspects of diabetes.

 We are Diabetes is an organization primarily devoted to promoting support and awareness for type 1 diabetics who suffer from eating disorders. We are dedicated to providing guidance, hope and resources to those who may be struggling, as well as to their families and loved ones.

We Are Diabetes also advocates for living well and living strong with type 1 diabetes. The daily challenges of living with this disease can oftentimes result in a sense of defeat or isolation. We help those who feel alone in their chronic illness find hope and courage to live healthy, happy lives!

 The Black Women's Health Imperative (Imperative) is the only organization devoted solely to advancing the health and wellness of America's 20 million Black women and girls through advocacy and public policy, health education, research and leadership development. Founded as the National Black Women's Health Project in 1983 by health activist and McArthur genius Byllye Y. Avery, the Imperative works to advance health equity and social justice for Black women across the lifespan.


 Diabetes-What to KnowDiabetes–What To Know is a free program with videos and emails that help people with Type 2 live a long and healthy life. Our program is built and maintained by people who have diabetes and by those who care about them. We are not associated with a device or drug company– this is a site dedicated to building education, skills, and knowledge. Diabetes-What to Know offers needed information about healthy living with diabetes delivered right to email inboxes, as well as access to our video library that is constantly updated with new videos and fresh ideas.


Together2GoalLaunched in March 2016, the Together 2 Goal® campaign challenges participating medical groups and health systems, patients, and the entire nation to improve care for 1 million people with type 2 diabetes by 2019. To achieve this aim, the campaign leverages the coordinated delivery systems of participating American Medical Group Association (AMGA) members and concurrently taps the resources and reach of our national partners and corporate collaborators. Together 2 Goal® is the second campaign of the AMGA Foundation’s Chronic Care Challenge.
