A new expansion to the facility, completed in 2012, increased the production capacity for insulin delivery devices (delivered as auto dosers). On this 40-minute tour, you'll see firsthand how the facility uses recombinant DNA to produce insulin through a product formulation wherein human insulin crystals are mixed with chemical stabilizers and highly purified water.  You'll then see how the resultant product is filled into glass vials and cartridges under aseptic conditions, inspected, and packaged for distribution.
COST: FREE to all registered Conference participants. Bag lunch provided.
NOTE: Sign-up for field trip will be available at registration/information table at the Weekend for Women Conference.  Space is limietd.
