In July of 2014, while in the best shape of my life and training for my first half marathon, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I was 42 years old.
Word out there is that chronic illnesses are accompanied by depression. It isn’t news that diabetes puts a heavy toll on our mental health, making it even more complicated to manage.
