I am 9 weeks pregnant and I have been a type 2 diabetic for almost 15 years. My A1C a few weeks back was 5.9% but my doctor wanted me to bring it down to 5.7%. Over the last 2 weeks, I am experiencing more resistance and I am seeing spikes that last for about 2-3 hours (max has been around 187 for 30 mins but going down very slowly). I use a combination of short term and long term insulin. Have any of your experienced these spikes and still had a health baby? I am really worried that these short-term spikes can be very harmful and I am trying my best. I know this is only going to get worse with the pregnancy progressing but any advice or words of comfort would be very helpful. Thank you all!!!
