Fresh Cranberries and Pomegranates

Ok ladies, I need help. I've got 2 fresh pomegranates and a bag of fresh cranberries that came in my basket from my Farmers Market co-op this week and last, and I have no idea what to do with either one. I don't want to let them go bad but at the same time, I'm stumped, especially over the pomegranate seeds/arils. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I definitely am going to eat all of it, I just want to find something to do with the cranberries especially because I tried popping a raw one in my mouth and it was way too tart for my taste buds! I'm debating using the pomegranate seeds on a salad for dinner.

this is a great recipe. you can reduce the white sugar from 1 cup to 1/2 cup. you won't miss it. do use the brown sugar

3 cups fresh cranberries
3 cups chopped apples
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup quick-cooking oat
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup melted butter
Change Measurements: US | Metric

Directions:Prep Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 55 mins
1 Grease a 2-qt baking dish. Spread cranberries and apples in the dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup sugar.
2 In a small bowl mix the oats, brown sugar, and pecans until well combined. Add the butter, stirring until mixed.
3 Sprinkle the oat mixture over the fruit in the baking dish.
4 Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
