Feeling cranky lately

Hello. I have been looking for people to answer my many questions about my type 2 diabetes, as I feel like a complete dunce about it, and I can't get prompt answers from my primary care physician.

I was rediagnosed in February 2021 (I was previously diagnosed in 2016, but then I lost enough weight that my glucose was no longer a problem, I was taken off the Metformin, and I went gleefully on my way, convinced that I was cured0. Now I am back, wondering if that buzzing cell phone sensation in my left leg is peripheral neuropathy (last time I asked a doctor about it, he shrugged it off), wondering if my abnormally high glucose reading Monday morning was due to recovering from my second COVID shot or something else, wondering if the fact that I had a really high glucose UA was something to worry about. I keep going to urgent care because at least I can talk to a human there, even if they mostly shrug off my concerns and questions and tell me to follow up with my primary care physician.

Anyway, long story short (TOO LATE), I am here because you are here. And I am looking for better answers than I can get from Dr. Google. Thanks for reading.

Hi Ayana, How frustrating to feel like your doctors aren't taking your questions and concerns seriously. I had a doctor like that in the past and I remember how rough it is. We are so glad you have found us - while we don't have medical advice to give, we absolutely can relate and share common experiences with you.

I did see some elevated blood sugars after my first COVID vaccine and am expected I will see them again when I get my second dose. I've heard of others who saw the same, and others who did not. It seems to vary from person to person (which is frustrating as well, because we don't know what to expect).
