Hello, here to introduce myself

I have type 2 diabetes, it has been 10 years since I was told I had diabetes. Diabetes is a common issue in my family system. I just started insulin last month. I am having some issues with it.

I do not have much family support, but I am looking forward to a better understanding and the insight of diabetes forum and learning more about diabetes and women as well as getting a better handled on my own blood sugars. I am trying to find a balance in dealing with my diabetes and my other health issues.

I love to read historial romance novels, taking photos, scrapbooking and card making. Trying out new recipes.

Carb counting is driving me crazy. I feel like eating a meal is a scientific equation. Just a point of reference math was my least favorite subject in school. Now it is a major part of my everyday life.

Looking forward to getting know my fellow sisters.

Just wanted to say welcome. It sounds like you are trying hard to get things under control. The carb counting is hard at first, but after a while, it will be all in your head and you won't have to look it up. I hope you'll find lots of good help and support here at Diabetes Sisters!
