Hello!

I'm new to this site & am thrilled to have found it! Am so glad "someone" has finally recognized that women with diabetes have different issues than men!

I was diagnosed with Type 1, after our first son was stillborn, 28 years ago! Since, I've been advised that I am very brittle with Dawn Syndrome. Was on multiple shots from the beginning but in 2000 switched to an insuln pump. Thankfully, I do not have any complications to date!

Did ok on the pump but couldn't bring my A1C down to that perfect number & always felt as if I were failing. About 3 1/2 years ago a client mentioned he was going to a new diabetes clinic that had straightened his problems out. Got in to them & am amazed at the difference. One thing I was finally told, not everyone is "textbook" when it comes to the ultimate numbers. My last A1C was 7.5 &, I anticipate, will be lower in December! Thanks to hard work & a great endo.

I'm looking forward to connecting with others that have similar issues!
