Hello sisters!
I was diagnosed with Type 2 several years ago. My A1C's and FBS's haven't been controlled well. Some of that is that I don't think I've found the right meds. But truth be told, I also have a sweet tooth and am a carb addict. Plus, my schedule is crazy and not very conducive to exercise. Okay, I know that sounds like an excuse, and it probably is, but I need to find a way to fit it in.

Anyway, I'm looking for motivation and peer support. Part of my problem with the numbers is also stress-related. My job is pretty stressful, as is my life in general, and I want/need to find a way to manage it better. Also have a history of depression and am managing it with meds.

Thanks for welcoming me to the group.

Hi and welcome, we are so glad you found us. To be honest, when I read your challenges, I didn't see excuses. I saw a real-life woman with an imperfect life and I definitely relate. I love carbs and I hate exercise, and having perfect levels and management every day is not me! Some days are really great, but a lot of days are not what I'd like them to be.

We hope we can empathize with you, and also give you encouragement. I am proud that I managed a 30 minute walk this morning before work (I did follow that with an almond croissant for breakfast, so no, I am not perfect!!). I'd love others to chime in with one thing they did for diabetes today that they are proud of.

Also, if you aren't faminliar with our PODS peer-led support groups, you might want to check them out. Find more info here: https://diabetessisters.org/pods-meetups

Finding DiabetesSisters and writing your post was a great step in the right direction!
