pack extra supplies!

I know this sounds like a no brainer but I took a trip once and packed extra pump supplies. But not enough! Because I was in a new environment, I kept bumping into things and knocking my site out. In the end, I was at a drug store buying syringes and managing that way. Now I pack like I will be gone a month!

I was going to say always pack double pump supplies b/c after a trip to Aruba this summer and spending a lot of time in the pool/ocean my site came loose just about everyday. Usually my site is fine for several days between changes. I had to be careful towards the end of vacation with this as not to run out of site changes. I, too, have always overpacked "just in case," but this time that wasn't enough.

I have noticed that moving around a lot, jogging, and sometimes when im sleep my infusion becomes unattached. In the summertime i mostly just use extra medical tap to hold it in place.

..and put everything in your carry-on! Nothing like showing up in Las Vegas and having your suitcase (and supplies) end up in Los Angelss!
