Cold

Do any of your find that since you have been diagnosed as being diabetic you get cold more easily? I have never been one to get cold easy. I fact, usually make everyone else cold trying to just be comfortable. Lately, though, I am frequently freezing. I friend who is also diabetic says that is from diabetes. Is that true for you?

I find that my feet get cold more easily, and I know that's from my diabetes. Otherwise, I'm just as cold-tolerant as usual. I'm sure everyone experiences varied effects, whether in form or in intensity.

That is so interesting that you bring that up! After I was diagnosed in high school, my mom kept taking me to the doctor because I was always cold. She was convinced I had a thyroid problem. But, every time my results have come back in the Normal/low Normal range. But, I must say that I AM SO GLAD to finally realize that other women with diabetes have this same issue---- not just me! :cheer:

I have the same problem! And then because I'm starting to go through menopause it's hot, cold, hot, cold and no in between.

I'm glad I'm having that problems right now. I live in Texas and my ac is out. A year ago I would have died. Now, it's not great, but at least my hair isn't soaking.

I have neuopathy in my feet and hands. Both get cold. I too hardly ever get cold. I wear short sleeved cotton blouses year round. Lately I have been feeling the cold. I attribute it to getting old. I never connected to my diabetes(aside from my feet and hands). I suppose it can be attributed to diabetes.
