Insulin Pen

I went to the 'ask CDE column' but I didnt see where my question would fit. I'm hoping someone here can direct me.

I am new to Insulin shots. Usually I call my local pharmacist, but she on vacation and I'm just looking for a quick answer.

Like I said before - Im new to the pen and last night I noticed some bubbles in the syringe part of the pen.

Should I try to express the air from the bubbles? Or does it matter if I inject the air bubbles into my skin along with the insulin?

RIght now I see 3 very small bubbles and one large bubble- about the size of the 'zero' font on the keyboard.

What to do?

Thank you for reading!
