I was just curious as to everyone's thoughts on having Type 2 as opposed to Type 1. Pros, cons etc.??

I think that type 1 sounds scarier, but when I went to the diabetic education class, we were told that type 1 would be easier to cure because your body just doesn't make insulin. The problem with type 2 is that you do make insulin, it's just not used effectively. There are multiple problem, ineffective insulin, enough or even extra insulin, but it can't get into the blood cells because your body isn't making or using the enzyme it needs correctly, and over production of glucose by the liver. Either one, it is definitely a life change.
