What am I weighting for?

Hello all.

My name is Drea and I am a weight loss procrastinator.Actually, over the years, I have lost so much weight that I should hang from a charm bracelet. Unfortunately, I keep reverting to my old ways and the weight comes back with a ferocity reserved for wild animals. I have to lose close to 100 pounds and I know that it is going to be hard for me to do this without support. My significant other is no help as he believes that steak and cheese sandwiches are part of the 5 food groups. But, for my health, this time I have to do it. I have no choice. It is either lose the weight or face the consequences.:P

Good luck to you. It is hard when your family support or friends, isn't what you want it to be. You have a wonderful personality and I think you will stick with a healthier eating plan and begin exercising. :cheer: .

A weighted mean is a kind of average. Instead of each data point contributing equally to the final mean, some data points contribute more “weight” than others. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean equals the arithmetic mean (the regular “average” you’re used to). Weighted means are very common in statistics, especially when studying populations.
