DECEMBER 2015 NEWSLETTER, ISSUE 87

Dear ,

This week, I am sending you this message from Vancouver, Canada. I am here representing DiabetesSisters at the World Diabetes Congress - learning from global diabetes representatives whose mission and vision is no different from our own. Our goal is to bring people living with diabetes more education, more support and more advocacy.

This year has been a full one for me. I never dreamed in January that I would be leading and representing this ever-growing organization. I have had the honor of meeting many of you. I have listened to your stories and been inspired to learn as much as I can to continue living the best life possible for me despite diabetes. I also do this to provide you with the most information available reach your best life goals with diabetes.

DiabetesSisters has continued to grow, thanks to an engaged Board of Directors, committed partners and funders, dedicated PODS leaders and volunteers, and YOU - women who are learning more about diabetes and have an interest in providing support to one another.

My hope to you during the last days of 2015 is joy and health. May you spend these holidays with those who mean the most to you, and may you feel well all the while.

Happy holidays!

We will see you in 2016.

In Sisterhood,

DIABETESSISTERS HOSTS SPECIAL MEETUP WITH ASTRAZENECA

On November 11, DiabetesSisters and AstraZeneca teamed up to celebrate Diabetes Awareness Month in a special PODS Meetup in Plainsboro, NJ. PODS leaders and attendees from Woodbridge, Princeton, and Philadelphia, along with Heather Parmalee, CDE & NP, and DiabetesSisters CEO Anna Norton, gathered to discuss the successes and struggles about living with diabetes. PODS members loved merging with neighboring groups.
