Lifestyle Series: Mastering Diabetes: Nutrition, Weight Loss, and Wellness Strategies
Diabetes and obesity are two conditions that impact women globally.
Obesity is a risk factor for developing diabetes, and individuals with diabetes often struggle with weight loss.
Today, weight loss interventions are a cornerstone in diabetes management since modest weight loss can drastically improve blood glucose levels.

It will be led by Connie Brown Riggs, a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist who is an expert in weight management and diabetes. She will discuss some of the challenges and barriers associated with implementing a weight loss program and offer tips and strategies to stay the course.
