Hi Sisters! The end of the year proved challenging with the move to a new platform for the website, so I apologize for not posting sooner. I’m excited to let you know that registration for the Conference and Walk WILL BE LIVE on January 1, 2013—with an Early Bird rate for those who register before Feb 15. I would advise making your hotel reservation now before the limited number available are gone: https://www.starwoodmeeting.com/StarGroupsWeb/res?id=1207184780&key=D7E6C. We have made so many improvements ranging from the walk registration software to the Conference Agenda that I don’t even know where to begin to tell you about it all! So, I’ll just direct you to the web page that lays out the latest details of the Raleigh Conference https://diabetessisters.org/national-conference-series/2013-weekend-women-raleigh – to let you see for yourself! Don't forget to register your spouse/partner/significant other for the Partner's Perspective Program and your whole family for the orange:will Diabetes Awareness Walk (the walk is free)!
If you have not attended a Conference before—this is definitely the Conference to attend! It has been perfected over the last few years. Thanks to all of the survey feedback we have gathered not to mention all of the “trial and error” we have been through in addition to the seasoned planning committee members, we pretty much have the Conference down to a science now. We also have a great combination of speakers coming from top-rated educational institutes as well as highly-respected diabetes advocates coming from all over the country.
Oh- and one other thing before I forget- PLEASE go to www.diabeticconnect.com/thisweekiwill and make your health promise today. We are almost to $18,000 which is very close to our goal of $25,000. It doesn’t cost you a dime. All you have to do is visit the web page listed above and make a health pledge every 7 days and Amylin will donate $5 to the charity you choose. We could really use $25,000 to fund our plans for growing the organization and reaching more women with diabetes in 2013. Thanks to those who have already made health pledges!
