Did anyone see Private Practice?

On Private Practive tonight one of the stories was about a 12-year-old boy with Type 1 diabetes and an insulin pump. He and his father were living out of their car. His pump malfunctioned on one segment and he received a large dose of insulin which sent him into a seizure. Has anyone had this kind of malfunction with a pump? I have had it stop working (so I wasn't getting any insulin), but I have never had it "overdose" me by accident!

Oh yes, I saw this episode!! The little boys insertion site was apparently infected because they were homeless and he didn't clean it, so the doctor had to order him an entirely new pump (or um, change the site?!?!) and then because of the infection, the pump malfuncationed and gave him the large dose of insulin.

It seemed as though most of the 'bad information' could have been easily fixed just by talking to ANYONE with a pump!! But, what else is new... It makes me question all of the misinformation about all the other medical conditions that are discussed on these shows, too.
