Hello everyone! I just found out that I am pre-diabetic. My father is also pre-diabetic. He takes metformin and does the finger stick every day to check his insulin levels. I just started taking metformin and am annoyed by the constant hunger I am feeling. I have been told by nutrition sources that I'm not getting enough protein in my diet, and therefore, I'm going to explore other ways to cut the carbs and sugars but amp up the protein. I start taking jazzercise this week to get more exercise and am a full time student. In my limited spare time, I enjoy photography, sports, and being outdoors. My goal is to get off the metformin and never have to do finger sticks. Any advice or helpful anythings would be appreciated.
