Case Study: DiabetesSisters’ First Reddit AMA Exceeds Industry Benchmarks

In October 2025, DiabetesSisters hosted its first-ever Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) in collaboration with the DECIDE Study and Dr. Kartik Venkatesh, a maternal-fetal medicine expert. The goal was to give women a safe, anonymous space to ask questions about gestational diabetes and postpartum risk while connecting them to trusted resources.
The campaign combined a live Reddit AMA, a targeted ad strategy, a follow-up resource hub, and multi-channel promotion. The result was a high-impact, cost-efficient campaign that outperformed all industry benchmarks for health-focused Reddit outreach.
Campaign Goals
- Reach women affected by or at risk for gestational diabetes
- Create a live, expert-led discussion through Reddit AMA
- Drive traffic to educational resources and form submissions
- Launch a permanent GDM resource hub for ongoing support
Why Reddit?
Reddit is home to highly active parenting and women’s health communities. The AMA format allows for anonymous Q&A, ideal for sensitive health topics. As one of the fastest-growing platforms for engagement, Reddit was the right fit to meet women where they already seek advice and connection.
